Rikai Browser for is a web browser app with an automatic Japanese-to-English dictionary. You can browse a website, select a word or Japanese kanji character, and then instantly look up its meaning!
It’s incredibly simple to use; you can look up any word in seconds with your fingers.
Tap and hold your finger over any Japanese word or character to select it. Then, tap the “Rikai” button (a Japanese word meaning ‘understand’) to see the word’s meaning and reading in hiragana (Japanese alphabet). That’s it!
You can also use our new AutoRikai feature – as you slide your finger around the screen, Rikai will automatically look up the selected word. Great for those complicated pages with lots of unknown Kanji.

Rikai Browser also remembers your search history, and what pages you saw them on – so, if you want to study the words, you can always go back later.
